Fantasy donghua: imaginary worlds and magic

Beyond cultivation, donghua explores every kind of fantasy: Victorian-inspired worlds, knights facing demons, persecuted witches, dragons hidden in our own world. These series show the diversity of contemporary Chinese imagination.

Lord of Mysteries plunges into a steampunk, Lovecraftian world; Throne of Seal revisits knightly fantasy; Release That Witch tells of an industrial revolution powered by magic; Dragon Raja mixes a dragon-slayer academy with world mythology.
