contact@donghuafan.comA passion that started with manga
It all began with manga. Like many readers of my generation, I grew up with the great Japanese shōnen series: volumes devoured in one sitting, epic fights, heroes pushing past their limits, and that constant urge to know what happens next. Manga taught me to love long sagas, rich worlds and characters you follow for years.
Then I discovered donghua, and it hit hard. Soul Land, Battle Through the Heavens, Mo Dao Zu Shi, Link Click… Chinese animation offered everything I loved about manga, plus the depth of xianxia and wuxia novels: dizzying cultivation systems, vast worlds, immortals, rival sects and 3D animation that keeps getting better every year.
The problem was how hard it was to find your way around: which series to watch, in what order, which novel or manhua lies behind it, who is who… Donghua Fan was born from that frustration. The site gathers everything I wish I had found when I started, so other manga fans can take the leap too.
