Founded in 2012 by MTJJ, HMCH (寒木春华) is entirely devoted to The Legend of Luo Xiaohei, the web series and films about the little black cat spirit.
History
Beijing HMCH Animation Technology (北京寒木春华动画技术有限公司) was founded in 2012. It took over from the workshop that was already producing the web series The Legend of Luo Xiaohei, created by MTJJ.
The studio developed Luo Xiaohei's world: online episodes, comics, merchandise, then two feature films, in 2019 and 2025.
At the end of September 2021 it left Tongzhou district in Beijing to settle in Hedong district, Tianjin.
Signature
HMCH champions warm, hand-drawn 2D with soft colours and highly inventive fights. The studio takes its time: every episode and every film takes years.
