Rakshasa Street — Xu Chen's manhua on U17
At a glance443 chapters · completed

Rakshasa Street began as a manhua by Xu Chen (许辰), published on the U17 platform (有妖气) from 3 February 2010 to 1 June 2025. It runs to 443 chapters and has been printed in 16 volumes.
Origins and publication
The manhua was one of the flagship titles of U17, one of China's first online manhua platforms. It was later carried on Bilibili Comics and printed by the Jilin and then Hunan fine arts publishing houses.
How it differs from the donghua
The manhua is far longer than the donghua and tells the story to its end, completed in 2025. The donghua follows its main arcs but condenses some passages and sometimes reorganises the fights.
Reception and success
The manhua was one of the most-read of its generation, making Xu Chen one of China's best-known manhua artists. Its success led to the donghua, a live-action series and several games.
Trivia
- It was published for more than fifteen years.
- It came out on U17 years before the donghua.
My take
The most complete version of the story, with art that grows much more assured over the years. Ideal for reading the ending without waiting for more seasons.
Who is it for?For fans of the donghua and readers who enjoy long action sagas.
— Spidermas, for Donghua Fan
