The power levels of Shrouding the Heavens
Shrouding the Heavens describes cultivation as a journey through the body: you start from the Sea of Bitterness, deep in the abdomen, and rise to the Immortal Platform at the top of the skull. Beyond lie the ranks of saints, then of Great Emperors.
The ranks, from weakest to strongest
- 1Wheel Sea轮海lún hǎi
The first secret of the body, divided into four stages: Sea of Bitterness, Spring of Life, Divine Bridge and Other Shore. Ye Fan's Holy Body struggles terribly to open it.
- 2Dao Palace道宫dào gōng
The second secret: the cultivator opens five palaces linked to the organs and gives birth to inner deities there.
- 3Four Poles四极sì jí
The third secret: the four limbs become pillars of strength, compared to the poles that hold up the sky.
- 4Dragon Transformation化龙huà lóng
The fourth secret: the spine transforms like a dragon, in nine stages.
- 5Immortal Platform仙台xiān tái
The fifth secret, at the top of the head. Its first level corresponds to the rank of half-saint.
- 6Saint圣人shèng rén
A saint can destroy an entire region. Saints lead the holy lands.
- 7Saint King圣人王shèng rén wáng
Above the saints, a saint king dominates a whole generation of cultivators.
- 8Great Saint大圣dà shèng
Great saints are the strongest powers of an age when no emperor reigns.
- 9Quasi-Emperor准帝zhǔn dì
One step before emperor. Quasi-emperors must still gather the law of heaven to reign.
- 10Great Emperor大帝dà dì
The peak of the world: only one Great Emperor can reign per era, because they must gather all of heaven's law. Ye Fan eventually becomes Heavenly Emperor Ye.
How to advance
Cultivation in Shrouding the Heavens is a path of bodily secrets. Ye Fan's Holy Body is the most powerful of all, but it requires immense resources at each breakthrough, forcing him to keep searching for sources of life and treasures.
