The power levels of Martial Universe
Martial Universe follows Lin Dong, a boy from a minor family who finds a mysterious stone. His progress goes through ten great ranks, from simple Body Tempering to the Ancestral Realm, that of the Ancestors who drove back the Yimo demons.
The ranks, from weakest to strongest
- 1Body Tempering淬体cuì tǐ
The body is strengthened in nine stages before learning to wield Yuan energy.
- 2Earth Yuan地元dì yuán
The practitioner opens their dantian and gathers the Yuan energy of the earth.
- 3Heaven Yuan天元tiān yuán
Yuan energy becomes purer and stronger, and the practitioner can project it at a distance.
- 4Yuan Core元丹yuán dān
Yuan condenses into a core. This rank marks entry among a region's great powers.
- 5Nirvana涅槃niè pán
The practitioner faces the trials of nirvana to be reborn stronger.
- 6Creation造化zào huà
They begin to master the forces of creation. Their techniques reshape the terrain itself.
- 7Mystery of Life生玄shēng xuán
The practitioner understands the mystery of life, which lengthens their life and strengthens their soul.
- 8Mystery of Death死玄sǐ xuán
After life, death: they master both sides of existence.
- 9Reincarnation轮回lún huí
The practitioner transcends the cycle of life and death. Masters of this rank are almost gods.
- 10Ancestral Realm祖zǔ
The peak, that of the eight Symbol Masters and the Ancestors who fought the Yimo. Lin Dong eventually reaches it.
How to advance
Lin Dong advances thanks to the Ancestral Stone, which purifies energy and makes his creatures evolve. Symbols, ancient legacies tied to powerful spirits, give him unique powers. As often in Tian Can Tu Dou's novels, each rank opens a wider region with stronger enemies.
